I have to do target for iit preparation but I don't want to join any coaching considering I am a moderate student. Then what should I do?
First of all stop judging yourself that you are a moderate student or a brilliant students.Let me tell you something, even the brilliant students aren't able to make it to the IITs and sometimes the average ones make it possible. So, there is not any category in terms of getting into IITs or any other exams. What matters is the mindset and willingness of an aspirant that how he can give his best.Everyone is on same level when the preparation begins but the one who doesn't more hard work reaches the top.
Now, coming to the preparations you first need to understand that you have to devote your entire year into studies.
Stop partying, stop social media, stop going out much often and limit your friend circle.
Make routine and adjust your time accordingly because time management is very important.
Hard work in not enough, you need to do smart work.
Spent time with people who motivate you.
You said you don't what to take coaching then it cool but do find a mentor it can be anyone who guides you and help you out when you find trouble in some topics.
Solve last year papers as it will guide you a lot.
Prefer books that you find good.
I hope this helps.
Hello Harsh
IIT is one difficult exam and if you don't want to any coaching. Then you should study for at least 10-12 hours a day. Also, make sure to make clear list of your strengths and weeknesses. Work according to that.
Also, solve as much sample papers as you can
Hope this helps!
Hello, you can get admission in iit's without coaching too but for that you need 2 things
1. Good knowledge of concepts
2. Good practice
3. Good problem understanding for solving in entrance exam
So, first of all you should be having good knowledge of concepts like mathematics and sciences if you are class 12th else if you are in B.E/B.Tech then you must be very good with apptitude as well as domain related subjects knowledge. So, what ever you first refer standard textbooks and read concepts from them very clearly.
Secondly, you should have good practice refer previous papers and then online exams and learn from your failures.
Finally on the exam day you should understand the problem if you can understand problem 80% of sum is over, this is possible with lots of practice.
