I Have topped state board with 86.80% in 2018. Wanted to study BCA in my state only that is Assam. Where can I go for higher studies?

Congratulations on topping in your exam. BCA is certainly a good optionn for you and while looking for colleges it is important that you pick one that provides good placement opportunities. A Bachelor's in Computer Applications means that you will be qualified to work in IT sector. Many colleges in Assam offer BCA, since you have specially inquired for government colleges the list has been designed to cater to that:

Tinsukia College- This is a government college, affliated to Dibrugarh University. The BCA course is offered in the Self- Financing stream.The college provides placement service to all the students. As per the 2015-2016 records of the MHRD, out of the 439 students who have graduated 103 had been placed with a median salary of 300000 /- Rs per annum. The college also provides scholarships to its students. 1026 students are receiving state/central scholarships, while 265 are receiving scholarships from the institution funds. There are 40 seats in the day shift . The course was introduced in 2009.With a registration fee 0f 1000 rupees, one has to pay 11,000 rupees per semester for the BCA course.

Yet another institution which offers BCA  and is managed by the state government is the Anandaram Dhekial Phookan College, Nagaon. It is affiliated to the Gauhati University  and has been reaccredited with 'A' grade with 3.11 CGPA out of 4.00. It provides scholarships to the economically backward students and also gives cash prizes to the rank holders. But the details of placement could not be found.

The Dibrugarh University is a teaching and affiliating University. It also offers BCA course. The course fee will be in total 28,713 per year, which includes 13,000 rupees as tuiton fee per semester, 1000 rupees admission fees and other fees.There is a functioning training and placement cell in the University which conducts on and off -campus recruitments, establish alliance with Industry and industrial bodies like FICCI,CII,FID etc.

These are some of the State Government Colleges offering BCA in Assam. Other than these, there are colleges run by other managements. These are:

Arya Vidyapeeth College, Guwahati-

Pandu College, Guwahati-  fees- 12k/year

Assam Don Bosco University,Guwahati - 59k/year

etc.
