I have yearback in engineering, I am thinking about writing CAT, should I go for it or no college will take me even if I scored pretty well?
Hello Gaurav, No MBA college will give you admission if you do not have your graduation certificate. You first need to clear all your backlogs so that you can get the graduation certificate. You can give the CAT examination for your experience but it will not give you admission in any MBA college. So I'm advicing you to clear your yearbacks first. All the best.
Hello Gaurav!
No, there is no problem in writing a CAT Exam. But what you have to make sure is that you clear all the backlogs before applying for different B-Schools, because their basic criteria is that all the backlogs have to be cleared. Yes, their are implications to it too. If a person is having a year of work experience, then he might be prefered over you once you reach the interview round.
All the best. Hope that you make a wise decision.
It doesn't matter if you have a backlog while filling the cat application form and appear in the examination. But you will have to clear your papers before the admission process. And since you have a year so its not possible for you in any case scenario, but still you may try for the examination for an idea of questions and experience. And again if you score a very good percentile there might be chances that you won't be able to get into top IIMs because past academics also matters while seeking for admission in IIM and since a back may have tarnished a little of it so it might be difficult but for sure you will get good college if you score a good percentile.
I hope this helps.
