At 86, we would consider you on boderline to meet the JEE Main 2018 cutoff. It will also depend on which category you belong to. However, you will not get any core branch at NITs with this score. You may get any non-core branch at the new NITs or IIITs or CFTIs which is again determined by the choices filling you will do at the time of JoSAA counselling. Your 12th marks will have no weightage here to get you a particular branch.
