I m very keen to serve in dept of law. I want to know is it mandatory to have net/phd for assistant professor
Dear Munmun ,
Great that you have got questions and am glad to get an opportunity to answer this one.
Further it makes me feel so happy to find people like you who have an aim for life and so confident about the goals.
Good that you are doing LLM from Guwahati University with specialisation in Constituional and Administrative Law, while you have a keen interest to become an Assistant Professor.
As per the UGC guidelines and BCI Legal Education Circular of January 2, 2017, the candidates applying against Assistant Professor vacant positions need to have an LL.M degree with 55 per cent, while the candidate also needs to have qualified National Eligibility Test (NET).
In case you have a Ph.D degree, you need not take the NET paper.
I hope your doubts have been clarified. Yet there are any, do counter question me.
Else put forward a new question and let the world answer it!
Questioning is a good habit, live it!
Thank you.
