Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), formerly Vellore Engineering College is a private university institute located in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India. VIT admits students through its own engineering entrance exam, called the Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE). It is conducted every year in the month of April and May in CBT (online) mode.

EXAM PATTERN:

• VITEEE is conducted as an online based test in English language only.
• The duration of exam is 2 hours 30 minutes.
• Exam has four sections of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English. Candidates going for B.Tech Biotechnology have to opt for Biology instead of Mathematics. Each section will consist of 40 multiple choice questions.
• English section will have only 5 questions.

ELIGIBILITY:

The basic eligibility to appear for VITEEE 2019 is class 12th pass or equivalent. Also, NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) applicants who are appearing for their final examination of the 10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by any recognized board are also eligible to apply. They should have secured an aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, Math/Biology in class 12 th (50% for the SC/ST & North Eastern State candidates).

AGE: Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 1996 are eligible to apply for VITEEE 2019.

A candidate can apply for VITEEE 2019 is any one of the modes- Online and Offline. The official site is www.vit.ac.in.

For VITEEE 2019, the application fee is raised to INR 1150 for online mode of application. The application fee for VITEEE 2019 is represented in the following table:
