For JEE MAINS there are a maximum attempt of 3 consecutive attempts and for the JEE ADVANCED examination, there are a maximum of 2 consecutive attempts. If you have appear for the class 12th in 2021, then you are eligible for the JEE MAINS examination for the year 2021,2022,2023. For the JEE ADVANCED you are eligible for the year 2021,2022. So if you wish you can appear for the JEE MAINS 2023 but not for the JEE ADVANCED 2023.
