Hello Aspirant
MA Psychology is a course that focuses upon the generic subject in the first year and specialization in the second year. MA Applied Psychology has the same structure as MA Psychology but one major difference is that in MA Applied Psychology, the course is more practical based than theoretically based. There are relatively more field studies and more market orientation. Both the courses have their own value. The choice of the course is based on the interest of the student. The courses require a lot of hard work and thus it is important that the student has an interest in the subjects that he/she is studying.
There are many colleges in Delhi from where you can pursue MA psychology. Some of the best ones are –
· Lady Shri Ram College for Women
· Indraprastha College for Women
· G D Goenka University
· Zakir Hussain College
· Ambedkar University
· Jamia Millia Islamia
Other than these colleges, there are more colleges that offer this degree.
The entrance for most of the colleges in University of Delhi will be somewhere in July.
The entrance for Jamia is also in either May or June but the forms are open right now.
Entrances for other colleges are also in the month of June and forms around late April end or May. For the dates of forms, you can stay updated on the careers360 website.
Other than Delhi, there are colleges around in the country as well.
- Christ University, Bangalore
- Panjab University, Chandigarh
- Fergusson College, Pune
- TISS, Mumbai
The colleges in Delhi are pretty good. Most of the colleges have entrances and these entrances include basic psychology, general awareness and logical thinking. Some colleges also have personal interviews whereas some colleges make selections based on the merit list itself.
I hope that I have answered your question.
