• Private Jobs: Usually, they are lenient if you explain the clerical error and show your Class 10 marksheet as proof.

• Government Jobs: They are the strictest. During Document Verification, they match every character. You must have the corrected marksheet before you reach the final stage of a government job selection.

4. Check Other ID Proofs

Ensure your father's name is consistent across your Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, and Class 10 Marksheet. If the error is only in the Class 12 marksheet, then only the board correction is needed.
