I passed out from B.tech in june 2017 and will get into MBA in 2018. Does that counts as a drop year?

Hello Aditya! Yes, that definitely counts as a drop year. Sure, if you are not satisfied with your percentile go for it again. Prepare well this time and it would be better if you take up a job this time as when you go for an interview the interviewer should not feel that yu've not been productive in that drop year. So, you need to show that by explaining them about how you made that year productive and be convincing. All the best!

Thank you so much for your words. Even I want to get a job but I'm not able to get one. What should I do regarding that? I definitely want a better college than these tier3 colleges that I'm getting.

Okay. What you can do is apply for part time jobs, make your profile on linkedin and find jobs there. You will definitely get one. It doesn't need to be anything big just a simple one will work. Moreover, you can volunteer at NGOs and if you haven't done any internships then you can take up an internship by using internshala. It is a great platform. I hope that helps.
