It's difficult to exactly say what will be the cutoff for this year as it is matter of change. But considering last year scenario the chances of qualifying with 80 percentile seems to be less.As last year the cutoff for general category was 89.75.
I will suggest you to appear for the April session exam and try to get better.
Hope this helps you
To be honest, its difficult to predict the actual rank or JEE advanced qualifying marks. Neverthless, you may calculate your expected rank by this formula
A percentile is the no.of Candidates who scored better than you in the exam. Going by that, to calculate your JEE percentile, we should use the formula 100 - your total percentile score. Now 869010 Candidates appeared for Jan exam. Going by that, your rank formula is (100 - your total score) X 869010 /100. Your rank can be predicted by using the formula, (100-your total percentile)*869010/100. In your case, your approximate rank would be 173802 . Let's say the number of candidates for April exam increased to 12,00,000 then your final rank shall be (100 - your total score) X 12,00,000/100
At this point in time, it is difficult to predict the JEE Advanced qualifying marks but 85 percentile and above should be an ideal score.

Dear aspirant, according to your percentile score in JEE MAIN examination your expected rank is about 1,73.802. The previous year cut off in general category for appearing in JEE ADVANCED examination was 89 percentile. But this may change this year due to slight changes in total no of students appearing in the exam. As your rank says that you are among top 1lac 73 students you may expect to qualify for JEE ADVANCED. You should wait for NTAs official cutoff declaration and give your best in your April attempt.
Thank you hope this helps you!
