Hello S.kannan..Yes that will be obviously correct no worries regarding that.

Don't confuse percentile with percentage.

percentage=(marks you got*100)/(total marks).

Percentile= (marks you got*100)/(topper marks in that session).

Need a small correction for my answer,percentile=(100*no of candidates who scored equal or less than you in that session)/(Total no of candidates appeared in that session).
