I scored 67% marks in 12th boards, and I belong to OBC category. Can I get selction in NIT college.
As per Jee main Elligiblity criteria you are not elligible if you are from cbse board .
Minimum 75 % marks is required in 12th for cbse board for general and obc category . If you are in other board then you should check the top 20 percentile of that board which is declared by josaa counseling .
Thanks
Dear Aspirant,
With your current marks you will not be able to get into NITs or IITs as you have to be in top 20 percentile of your boards. If you are from CBSE then you have to score 75% marks.
However, here is what you can do. You can appear for improvement and prepare again for JEE 2020. Try to score above 75% marks.
Check out the process to apply for the improvement on the CBSE official website.
Hope this helps.
Thank you.
Hope you are doing well!!
Only for SC and ST category student, 65% is allowed else for every other category 75% is the eligi certeria.
NIT Admission: Candidates should have obtained a minimum of 75% marks in class 12 or equivalent exam or they must be in the top 20 percentile in their class 12 examination. For SC/ ST, the eligibility is to obtain a minimum of 65% marks in class 12 or equivalent. And after 12th exam you have to give jee mains and advance exam. I hope this answer will help you :)
Best of luck :)
Thankyou!!
