I scored 97.8 percentile will I get nit?

First of all congratulating you for your score.

With this much percentile, according to me there are decent chances that you will get admitted into any of the NITs. For the final result you need to wait. The National Test Agency NTA will declare the combined result of both the JEE Mains exam (1st which was held in January and 2nd which is going to be held in April) after the declaration of result of 2nd exam i.e. after April 30. Afterwards the NITs will declare their respective cutoffs.

It is difficult to tell exactly now if you will be getting nit college now since your percentile and rank may differ because it depends on the tot. no. of students appearing in the April exam. NTA will release the Overall merit list based on the no. of students appeared and best of two attempts of the students appearing twice. So to know your exact rank and a particular college cutoff you need to wait until the April exam ends.

But for now you can check your rank from the below formula.

Rank - (100-percentile score)*(874469/100)

According to this your approx rank is 19238.

But this is oviously not your final rank as it will be different if the total no. of students appearing in the April exam changes (most oviously no. of students appearing in April will be higher).

But seeing your percentile i can tell you surely that you will qualify for jee mains and sit for advanced. So start preparing for jee advanced.
