If you want to persue UGC in Engineering, then you should register for JEE MAINS first and then select various colleges as per the catogery you want to get admission and then apply for the college either with jee ranking or by giving the institute exams, like VITEEE, BITSAT, MMMUT, etc. You can also go for other state examination like COMEDK.
