The admission process for All India Institute of Speech and Hearing, Mysuru usually starts in the first week of March and the national level entrance exam is conducted in the month of May, the students who have studied abroad are not required to appear in the entrance exam. Only those candidates who have studied at least three subjects from among Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics are eligible for admission. They should have obtained a minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ST) in the PCMB group or combinations thereof, in the qualifying examination to be eligible for admission.

Therefore, a candidate will appear for the entrance examination in PCM or PCB and not in any other combinations. Admission will be made on the basis of percentile rank in the entrance examination. The number of questions to be answered shall be 50 in 50 minutes duration, in each subject.
