• you should first understand the syllabus and then begin preparation

• focus on the key points and the language of the relevant concepts

regarding preliminary test:

it requires exhaustive and intense study with out ignoring any thing like illustrations , time period limits.

regarding written test,

it requires selective study particularly on the base of previous year and frequently asked questions in exam and practice by solving them.

• practice the previous and model practice papers conducted by public service commissions and high courts.
• Think of various practical and hypothetical circumstances on the concepts.,which help you in clearing doubts and can build a grip too.
• i suggest you to cultivate the habit of reading news papers and magazines since you should be knows about the current affairs.

regarding general knowledge:

refer news papers and magazines and judgements rendered by by Honourable supreme court .

regarding language,

read some standard books of grammar of the language concerned along with communication with peers.

for civil judge exam you have to go through the following exams

preliminary exam:

• paper 1: Time 2 hours, maximum marks : 150
• The paper contain general knowledge questions
• paper 2:  time 2 hours , maximum marks : 300
• it will contain questions from law from the following topics
• a) jurisprudence
• b) indian constitution
• c) law of contract
• d)  criminial procedure code
• e) transfer property act
• current international affairs

after qualifying prelims, you will be eligible to write main exam

main exam:

• questions related to general knowledge and language.
• essay writing - 60 marks
• english precise writing - 60 marks
• translations - 40 marks.

law - 1 ( substantive law)

law -2 ( procedure and evidence)

law -3 ( penal,  revenue , local laws).
