Abraham Lincon, Benjamin Franklin, Winston Churchill, and Steve Jobs are some of the other big names who didn't do good with their studies.
So yeah, these people did great without being good with studies, so can you.
By the way, success can mean many things. And, although money is not a synonym of success, let's talk about how to make money without having any significant education--
- First, figure out what you can do the best that might provide value—such as help or entertain— to others. It could be of anything--dancing, cooking, singing, writing, painting or anything else. If you don't have any such thing, learn them.
- Make a strategic plan to deliver value to people with your talent. Give your talent a shape of product or service.
- Monetize your plan. Yeah, figure out how can you make money with it.
- Find out one compelling reason for people to buy your product or service.
- Do the right marketing for it. By “right marketing,” I mean letting people who can be benefitted from your product/service.
- Keep experimenting and learning.
- Reinvest the money you make into your business and grow it.
- Hire the best people, train them, and expand you business.
- Keep growing
Just keep an important thing in mind:
The number of people who failed in life because they weren't good at study is way more than people who succeeded.
So if you can do good with study, just do it. But if you are not good, even then you can do great with hard work and smart plannings.

Firstly I would like to tell you that never ever underestimate yourself because if once you start doing that then you won't succeed in life.Just have believe in yourself. Once you start talking things positively things will get easier for you. You'll win over your life hurdles very easily.
For now, I don't you are currently studying at what position but since I have also been demotivated in my life many a times being a student I can just tell you that just don't give up. Try and keep trying until you succeed.And if you are upset seeing your marks then please don't because that doesn't decides your career. And mark it, failure is the key to success. Learn from your mistakes and move on.
Soon, the day will come when you'll be capable of fulfilling yours and yours father's dreams as well.

That hears very good that you are willing to complete your father's dream and make them proud. So particular about this I am not sure that what are your interest to be successful but I can suggest you somethings which will make you very successful and your father would be surely be proud.
So as an defence background I can suggest you that go for CDS exam or NDA exams so you can become and Indian Defence Officer with wearing an uniform your father would be sure happy to see you in uniform.
Another I would suggest to go with UPSC CSE so you can become an IPS, IAS, IFS officer and make your father proud you can get all the exams details on our portal.
