I want to crack UPSC ..I'm in 12 th right now ,so starting preparation for it by now wthr I need to attend any upsc coaching classes or not?

UPSC (Union public Service Commission) conducts the most competitive and prestigious exams.
So, the very first thing you need to do is, to be familiar with the Syllabus of UPSC exam.
You should start preparing from the very basic level, that is your 6-12 NCERT books and newspaper ( The Hindu) on regular basis .
Make your basics strong first .
Right now, you are in class 12.
Focus on your language skills and take part in extra curricular activities like extempore, quizzes and debates.
Brush up your skills.
Try to finish your NCERT books first. You need to cover following subjects: science, Mathematics, social sciences, Economics, literature, Art and culture, Democratic politics, chemistry, biology and geography.
Keep revising the syllabus.
Focus on your 12th right now, so that you get good marks and choose your graduation subjects carefully with an eye on civil services.
Your graduation matters alot in civil service exams. So once you start with your graduation, you have to study your curriculum well.
Go to UPSC website and get other details related to subjects, and choose your graduation subject based on information on website.
Brush up your general knowledge, read about history, geography, economy, society, government policies, watch debates of lok sabha and rajya sabha. Visit online sites, go to library and read books or novels based on topics related to your exam preparation.
Though, self study is best but you can also join coaching classes, or search for books for preparation. Try to solve previous year question papers, improve your writing skills.
Note down your doubts and solve them immediately. Participate in online quiz competitions. Read general knowledge books and newspaper daily. And don't forget to cover your NCERT syllabus.
You need to have good command on subjects you choose for mains.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, stay healthy, Stay Fit.
You have time to prepare for exam, it depends on your hardwork and time management. You need to have a Well-known rounded personality and Awareness of the world on your surroundings.

Time for preparation depends on your potential and concentration. But normally, 12-18 months are enough for preparation.
