Where to Start:
- Working on a foundation in Biology and Chemistry with 11th and 12th grade — and keeping strong fundamentals.
- Complete a Bachelor’s degree in a field such as Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or Life Sciences.
- At the end of an undergraduate degree, seek a Master’s (M.Sc./M.Tech) in a specialized area of interest (genetics, environmental biotech, etc.).
- To pursue research, you will often need a Ph.D., especially for positions in R&D or academia.
