Armed Forces Medical College

Armed Forces Medical College is a premier Medical Institute of India acknowledged as a centre of Excellence for education and research. College provides training to undergraduate and postgraduate medical and nursing students with assured career prospects in the Defence Services.

The institution was set up on 01 May 1948 by the recommendations of BC Roy committee by the amalgamation of various defence medical organizations. The “ Graduate Wing” of AFMC was established on 04 August 1962 to provide a sustainable and study intake of medical officers by the Indian armed forces. The institute is presently affiliated to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences and is recognised by the MCI for conducting under graduate and various post graduate medical courses.

Dear Rajesh, after your 10th, you should pursue your 12th with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology as your core subjects. You need to appear for NEET. To be eligible for NEET, you should complete your 12th with a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology. And you shpuld also be 17 years by December 31st of the year of admission. Once you qualify in NEET, you need to fill in the AFMC medical application form. But AFMC also conducts its own medical test. Then there os ToElr, Personality Test and Personal Interview. The final list is prepared on the overall performance in all the rounds. You also have to fulfil their height to weight ration set for Male and Female candidates respectively. If you pass the Medical fitness test, you are given admission.
