Biotechnology Engineering is the field which focuses on subjects lkke Chemistry and Biochemistry and Microbiology and its business application into Agriculture, Mining, Horticulture, Fertilizer management, Disease Management, Vaccines, Enzymology, etc.
Majority of job opportunities are offered as role for research and development in FMCG sector with brands like Dabur, Patanjali, HUL and sectors like Pharma cum Healthcare like Novartis, Sun Pharma, Ranbaxy, GsK Consumer health, and government funded independent agencies.
The scope is although very restricted to above sectors but fetches very good paying jobs and decent demand since course is very niche and critical for the nations growth.

Biotechnology engineering is still developing in India. If we compare the scope from the other branches then it has less scope in comparison.
It has job opportunities in both private and public sector.
Average starting salary for fresher in this field is around Rs. 20,000 to Rs, 40,000 per month. Salary also depends on campus placement, skill and knowledge.
It is recommended that you should opt for top college if you are opting for this branch to get good placements.
