In NIT's the fee structure is as below (per annum)
Tuition fee- Rs 1,25,0000
Mess fee - Rs 33,000
Others fee - Rs60,000-70,000
This fee may vary from one Nit to another.
IIT(per annum)
Tuition fee around- Rs2,00,000
Mess fee -Rs33,000
Others - Rs 1,00,000
Moreover students get full or 2/3rd remission of Triton fee if their family income is below 1 lakh or 5 lakh respectively.
