Qualification Criteria :- Candidates must have cleared or appearing in 12th/equivalent exam with 5 subjects. For B. Tech Physics, Mathematics along with Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology is mandatory. For B. Arch Mathematics with at least 50% in aggregate in 5 subjects.
Number of Attempts :- Applicants can appear for the exam a minimum of 3 times that too in consecutive years.
Hope this helps.
Hey Amit,
If you have dropped for 2 years, it's okay. That is the maximum number of attempts allowed. You can prepare for that much time and keep attempting simultaneously. Now, you can give the exams twice a year which is good as you have more time and more preparation.
Dear Student,
Droppers can also be eligible for JEE Mains but in order to get admission in IIT/NIT/CFTIs you need above aggregate 75%. you should. Give improvement in board exams in all 5 Subjects.
For JEE Main, the term droppers can be divided into two categories. In the first category are the ones who have dropped a year after completing their 12th standard examination to focus on JEE Main. The second category consists of those who did not manage to qualify JEE Main earlier and waited a year while preparing or got admitted to another institute and wish to attempt again. There are certain JEE Main 2019 eligibility criteria for droppers which have to be checked to ensure they will be able to attempt the examination without any problems.
While a drop is not very much recommended to the candidates, it is their final judgement and they should remember that dedicated hard work and perseverance has to be present in themselves to fulfil their dreams of joining an IIT, NIT, IIIT or CFTIs.
JEE Main Eligibility Criteria for Droppers 2019
There is no age limit.
It is necessary that the candidates should have completed their 12th standard qualifying examination in 2017 or 2018. The candidates who are again attempting JEE Main should have appeared in the previous year examination since only 3 consecutive attempts are allowed for JEE Main.
For admissions into NITs, IIITs and CFTIs, the candidates should have secured 75% or be in the top 20 percentile of their respective boards. For SC/ST category, the marks to be scored is 65%.
At least 5 subjects should have been taken by the candidates for the 12th standard qualifying examination (Physics and Mathematics have to be included).
I hope this helps.
