i want to know ow to prepare for EFLUentrance examinations to pursue a postgraduate degree in literature
Dear Shwetha, you haven't mentioned the course for which you are appearing for the entrance examination. The M.A English programme by EFLU allows candidates to choose from M.A in English, Linguistics, Teaching of English as a Second Language, Literary and Cultural Studies and English literature. EFLU conducts a common entrance examination for all the courses under the cafeteria system. This is a computer-based exam for a duration of 2 hours for 100 marks. They are all objective questions. Section A has questions about Literature for 25 marks, Section B has questions about Reading Comprehension for 25 marks, Section C has questions about Organizational ability and Writing skills for 25 marks and Section D has questions on Verbal and Analytical ability for 25 marks. I am pursuing my Masters in English literature from EFLU and so can tell you that this is all based on your Bachelor's knowledge. Maybe Literature is what you need to study. But the rest is easy. And the best part is that there is no negative marking and it is easy to get a seat if you do well in Sections B, C & D. Good luck!
