I want to make EWS certificate for central government jobs but in my state of Maharashtra there is a condition that i or my family should possess a residential proof of/prior to the year 1967. But i want this certificate for central government jobs then why this condition?

Hey,

The issuance of any EWS certificate or rather any certificate is always in the hands of the State government. No matter for which kind of job you want to apply , the same EWS certificate will be valid everywhere. Therefore every state has equal rights to implement their own laws regarding the issuing of any certificate including the EWS certificate to any student.
