I want to study IIT please say what have to do
For a student to get admission in IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) he/she must clear JEE Mains and acquire high rank in JEE Advance .
JEE Mains consists of Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry subjects.
Each subject in JEE Mains consists of 30 questions.
If a student answers the question correctly then he/she is awarded 4 marks. If a student gives wrong answer then 1 mark is deducted. If a question is not attempted then no marks are deducted or awarded.
So total marks of JEE Mains is 360 (4*90).
JEE Advance also consists of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics but paper pattern of it is different.
To score well a student must start with NCERT textbooks of 11th and 12th standards of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Practice the questions in them well. Read everyday. Start with basic concepts be thorough with them then move on to difficult ones.
Give equal attention to every subject as they are all equally important. That is everyday each subject must be given time.
Practice Multiple Choice Questions of chapter immediately after you finish that particular chapter. It helps building concepts stronger.
Don't waste time on unnecessary things.
There are many reference books available. You can refer books such as HC Verma Volume 1 and Volume 2 for Physics. HC Verma book is very helpful for Physics. There are many numericals which you can practice from it. Problems in General Physics by Irodov, books by DC Pandey , Objective Mathematics by RD Sharma , Concise Inorganic Chemistry by JD Lee. These are some of them. There are many other good books too which can be referred.
To study efficiently prepare a timetable. In start it becomes a little difficult to follow a timetable but as soon as you try everyday you would be able to follow it.
Practice past years papers. Also give mock tests so that you know where are you making mistakes and you wouldn't make that mistakes at the time of exam.
Also practice papers by setting a timer. JEE Mains is of 3 hours and to utilise time and to get time to solve each and every question you must practice with time when you are thorough with the subject.
