I was applying for a scanned copy but i got challan number but payment failed so what should i do now?
If your scanned copy payment failed, you'll need to initiate a new payment for the challan. You can't reuse a failed transaction, and you'll likely need to create a new challan or re-attempt the payment through the same process you used initially.
Here's what you can do:
1. Check the Challan Status:
If you haven't already, check the status of your challan to confirm it's still in a failed or pending state.
2. Re-Initiate Payment:
For E-Payment: If the failed payment was through e-payment (online), you can usually access the "View Challan" or "Track Payment Status" section of the portal to re-attempt the payment. Follow the instructions on the portal to select the bank, accept terms, and make the payment again.
For Other Payment Methods: If you used another method (like paying in person), you'll need to make sure the challan is not already paid and then go back to where you initially generated the challan. There may be instructions on the website to resubmit the payment or to initiate another challan.
3. Create a New Challan (If Necessary):
If you cannot re-initiate the payment through the same method, you may need to create a new challan to make the payment.
4. Contact the Relevant Authority:
If you are still having issues, contact the specific authority where you are making the payment .They can provide further guidance and help you resolve the issue.
