I wish to do my P.hd in Botany in Jeddha, saudi arabia. TOEFL is needed for getting a seat in that university. Sir, Please reply.
Hi, since our country does not belong to EU you will have to give an English proficiency test. Which exam is accepted will be given on their official website. Mostly TOEFL is accepted. You can check the official website of Jeddha. Below is the link for their official website. https://www.uj.edu.sa/Home.aspx?Lng=EN
Hope this helps.
Hello Nazeer,
Good to know that you are interested to pursue your doctoral studies in Saudi Arabia. Yes, you would have to appear for any one of the English language proficiency tests, if you are planning to take up an English-based doctoral programme. For that matter, if you choose PhD in a language that is not your native one, you will most likely have to appear and qualify the language exam. For English-based programmes, it is common to present the results of IELTS or TOEFL exams. However, this is usually specified in the "Requirements" section for each individual PhD programme in respective universities.
For more information on TOEFL, kindly spend some time on the link provided below-

Hope it helps!
Best wishes for your doctoral studies.
