iam a graduated student from the EEE stream. I want to prepare for gate 2018. Can u suggest some tips so that I can start my preparation

Join coaching centre to increase your exposure and solve the previous year and similar questions regularly.
Stay away from distractions for a short while.

If basics are not clear then you must join coaching. With coaching you need to solve many problems side by side and get your doubts clear. If you are planning for online coaching, then you can go for kreatryx. You can also opt for postal coaching for ace/made easy. You need to understand the concept as well as solve as many problems as possible. Machines, Power system, Power Electronics are key subjects. For concept, you can refer reference books. Complete full syllabus before november. Solve previous year question papers and give test series in December and January. Allocate time wisely. Limit your social network, better to switch off. Don't get frustrated. Have a hobby.  Make sure you dont waste a day.
