Iam from odisha and am studied in AP , can i write a eapcet exam
Hello,
Yes, you can write the AP EAPCET exam even if you’re from Odisha, but you’ll be considered a non-local candidate.
Here’s how it works:
-
You’re eligible to apply if you have studied in Andhra Pradesh for at least 4 consecutive years or completed 10th & 12th there.
-
As a non-local student, you can get admission under the unreserved (15%) quota in AP colleges.
-
You won’t be eligible for state quota or local reservations unless you meet local status criteria under AP rules.
So yes, you can appear for the exam, just remember you’ll compete for open category seats.
I have attached the link for same:

Hope you understand.
Hello,
Yes, you can write the EAPCET (Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test) exam even if you are from Odisha and studied in Andhra Pradesh .
However, keep these points in mind:
-
You will be treated as a non-local candidate for admission under the Andhra Pradesh state quota .
-
You can still get admission under the “non-local” or “other state” category , but reservation benefits (like local quota seats) will not apply.
-
You must also meet the eligibility criteria — such as passing 10+2 with the required subjects (like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology) and minimum marks.
If you or your parents have lived, worked, or studied in Andhra Pradesh or Telangana for a certain number of years, you might also become eligible as a local candidate under specific conditions.
Hope it helps !
