identify the elements whose deficiency causes both necrosis and chlorosis?
The deficiency of the element bad effects on the growth of the plant. The deficiency of the elements Mg and K results in the necrosis and chlorosis. Necrosis is the death of the living tissue and chlorosis is the decolourisation of the pigment of the leaves.
Hope this is helpful
Hi there
Chlorosis is a disease which is caused by the loss of the normal green coloration of leaves of plants, caused by the deficiency of N, K, Mg, S, Fe, Mn, Zn and Mo.
While Necrosis is the death of a plant cell or tissue while the rest of the plants is still alive, and the dead tissue becomes dark in colour and it is caused by the deficiency of Ca, Mg, Cu and K.
Thus, the deficiency of the elements which causes both the necrosis and chlorosis are listed below:-
- Mg i.e Magnesium
- K i.e potassium
I hope that this helps you
Thankyou
