No it's not like that.

EWS in India is a sub category of people belonging to the general category having an annual income less than 8 lakh and those who not belong to sc/st/obc.

Eligibility of EWS is that the family should not own residential plot more than 200 sq.yards or more in areas other than in notified municipalities.

So this is the exact difference
