    Hello Pushpa,

    It is not necessary to put those colleges as your preference if you are so sure that you won't be able to get admission in those colleges.

    But what if there are some chances, you may miss out on them. Well the preferences are all about the colleges you are interested in and you expect to get. Choose your preferences wisely.
