If I choose to wait for next phase can I get a college which I prefer more?

Hello dear,
If you have choosen float or slid option means, if you want to go for further round then if your rank is enough then you will be alloted the higher preference seat other wise same seat.

Yes. But is it possible that I will loose the seat allotted already for me at the next phase? Or it might remain the same? And is it possible that I might be allotted to a less preffered college by choosing to wait?
