If I get admission in jamia and wants to change my preference course can I?

Hello Jenub Hussain,

Unlike IP University choice filling procedure, JMI do not allow any change in the preference list once the form for B.Tech is submitted.

Also, unlike IGDTUW , branch can not be changed in JMI even after completion of 1st year, if you wish to upgrade your branch.

Though upgradation while admission process is done to provide you with your favorite choice.Upgradation is basically getting a branch that you listed at higher position of the preference list than what you are receiving while taking admission.

Though you can't change your branch preference. But you can enable or disable the upgradation of the branch.

For example you get EE. And your first preference is ME but you want to do EE and want to make it your final choice then you can ask the personnel to not to upgrade your branch to ME if in future it can.

If you got a good percentile it can be upgraded easily ,

although its quite of a hectic process to change the preference .

lot of administration work and of course then you can change the branch ,but it will take as hard work as you done at the time of entrance.
