Hey there!
Dear aspirant ,
If you wants to take admission in any college (either central gov.,state gov, or any private institutes affiliated to a recognised university) have some shemes for the students.
If the Admission is through these schemes, then student have to give the lowest amount of fee.
You can't say it completely free.
For example :- If a student is taking admission in engineering then there is a scheme named TFW (Tuition Fee waiver scheme). So in TWF the students Tuition is free as in the form of scholarship ,but the other fees like transport fee(bus if separate from tuition fee),registrations, exam fees etc have to be submitted by the student only.
Its means that only the relief is given for tution fee of a college only.
But for it there is a eligibility criteria :-
- Annual income less than 6 lakh.
- Marks in range of college tfws seat merit.
- Authorised Income certificate
Every college has 5% tfws seats of each branch.
And for each UG ,PG ,Doctrate courses there are scholarships provided by the Indian gov.
But if you decide to leave the college in middle of the course ,then also you only have to pay the other fee (discounted fee) of that year only in which you are leaving the college.
No need to pay the tution fee.
hope this will help you
good luck!
