The criteria for admission in various NIT's, IIT's and other GFTI's is to score either 75% as minimum in boards or to be in top 20 percentile of your board. Take as example that the
- top 20 percentile cutoff for your board is 88%(example) than if you have above 75% you will be able to get admission
- but if the top 20 percentile is 60% then you only need to have more than 60% to get admission
