As per the existing exam pattern, NEET is conducted out of a total of 720 marks. The Physics and Chemistry sections carry 180 marks each while Biology section offers 360 marks in total (Zoology and Botany sub-sections are not individually marked).

For any admission or counselling related process however, only the candidate’s final marks and percentile score are taken into consideration. Your subject-wise marks have no bearing on whether you will be allowed to qualify or be selected for admissions to the college of your choice.

With regard to your your question, it is not possible to calculate 95% marks separately for either Botany and Zoology but we can calculate it for Biology collectively. As such, a 95% score in Biology translates to 342 marks out of 360.

Assuming you are a General Category candidate, the NEET 2017 Telangana admission trends reveal that in addition to your Biology scores, you would have had to score atleast 247 more marks in Physics and Chemistry combined . This would have given you a total of 589 marks out of 720, the last score at which a General Category candidate secured a seat in Osmania Medical College through NEET 2017. This means you will be able to join the college but will also have to pay the normal fees of Rs. 11,000 per annum as charged from all candidates .

While there is no concept of a free seat in Osmania Medical College, one way in which you can ensure reduced fees or even a complete fee waiver would be by securing extremely good marks in NEET, atleast 600 plus, which would place you in the list of top 200 candidates in the state if the NEET 2017 cutoff trends remain the same for NEET 2018 as well. This may make you eligible for various scholarships such as the AISEE scholarship offered by the Government of India, state-level scholarships offered by Government of Telangana or other scholarships offered by various private bodies such as the Sankshema scholarship or the Swami Dayanand Education Foundation Scholarship among others.

Do note that scholarships are mostly given to candidates from economically weaker sections or reserved categories. Merely scoring a high score in NEET may not be enough if you are a General Category candidate. Also, scoring 95% marks only in Biology section but not sufficiently well in Physics or Chemistry will definitely not be enough to secure a seat. You should aim for a 600+ score in NEET to stand a chance of admissions in Government medical colleges like Osmania, where you will only have to pay nominal fees.
