Hello Swayam, We can't assume a question paper to be tough or easy because some may feel it as hard and others moderate. Comparing it with previous years results may become faulty or may not yield accurate results. Though the results maybe look close enough but I think it is not a good practice to look back to previous years results based on the question paper's level.

If you are considering that jee advanced 2019 is tougher than 2016 ;than how rank vs marks can be similar to 2016 .
It should be different ; but although it is not tougher than 2016 and you can consider 2017 paper and assuming that your rank may be near about same as is 2017 at same score.
But anything can be happen ( because it will depend upon other students performance also. )
