Can a student get good IIT if he just qualifies JEE mains but scores well in JEE advanced ?

Hello.

If you mean to say that you have cleared cutoff of JEE Advanced, then yes. Though, if your score is just above the cutoff, I don't think you will get seat in top 5 IITs. But you will get seat in all others.
