the cutoff for each year differs depending upon various reasons such as availability of seats, number of candidates appearing for the examination, complexity of the paper etc. Hence it is usually difficult to predict if a candidate can surely, secure a seat at one of the NITs. Sometimes if the number of candidates appearing for the exam is less, the competition is higher, hence the cutoff will be of a higher score. Therefore, making it difficult to give a sure prediction.
