Your percentile is not only decided by your performance, but also on the following factors:
- The highest marks secured by the topper. If the highest marks is 250 out of 300, then 250 is considered as 100 percentile.
- The number of students with same score as you.
- The number of students with score greater than and less than you,
- The no of shifts in which the exam is conducted.
- The difficulty level of each paper in each shift,
To answer your query, the percentile is decided after all the shifts have been conducted and not by each shift alone.
