If we get seat, will the refundable amount will be given to college or University so that when we are paying college fees wil it be deducted
Hello Aspirant
The amount that is shown to be refundable is the amount that will be refunded if you do not take admission in that particular college or university. This amount is not refunded if you take admission in the college. If you are selected in one college and you have taken admission but due to certain reasons, you have to cancel your admission, then the amount shown as refundable will be given back to you. Most of the colleges or universities do not refund the entire amount. The amount to be refunded also differs based on the time duration between getting admission and canceling the admission. Many colleges cut a minimum of 20% of the amount from the entire amount and then return the rest of the amount to the student.
The amount that is generally shown to be refundable is an amount which is the part of your fees. Most of the colleges do not charge extra money when the student takes admission. This amount is either called admission charges or tuition fees for that year (or semester).
Once you get a seat in the college or university, the amount shown as refundable becomes part of your fees and you need not to pay extra or more over it.
Although there are different policies adopted by different colleges and universities. Most of the colleges and universities display their payment policies either on the website or the information can be easily accessed through a resource person. Also, most of the colleges and universities have their telephone numbers available on the internet. You can find such information on the careers360 (www.careers360.com) website as well. You can call the college or university and inquire about their payment and fees policies.
I would be able to help you better if you could specify either the name of the college or the university the college is affiliated to. Although the answer provided covers most of the points, if you have any further doubts then you can ask the doubts in the comment section.
I hope that you get a seat wherever you wish to!
Best of luck!
