IIIT Bangalore doesn’t officially publish separate SC category cutoff marks. However, SC candidates do get the benefit of reservation, which means the required JEE Main rank for admission is generally more relaxed compared to the general category.

For reference, in recent years, the general category closing ranks for B.Tech (CSE) have gone up to around 8700–9300 , and for ECE up to 13,000 . For SC candidates, cutoffs are typically several thousand ranks lower (i.e., easier to get in), depending on the number of applicants and seats available.

If you’re applying under the SC category, and your JEE Main rank is under 40,000–50,000 , you may have a good chance—especially in later counselling rounds. Keep checking JoSAA counselling rounds and use college predictor tools for a better estimate.
