I’m a plus two science student , passed plus one with full marks in science subjects, But average in multiple choice questions . How can I achieve better marks in mcq for NEET,JEE and other entrance exams?
The school examinations most focus on memorization of answers and writing them, there are only a few questions in the whole paper which are conceptual, the ones which require you to use your brain at that point of time whereas the questions asked in competitive exams are conceptual. All the options seem correct, the paper is designed in such a way that a little mistake and you tick some other option.
I can understand your situation, I was once in the same situation in which you're right now. The best way to deal with such a situation is to PRACTICE, practice a lot of questions from any standard book of the subject. Firstly, understand the concept from NCERT or any good book for the subject and then practice the related questions mostly MCQ, this will boost your confidence and you'll be able to get rid of your fear.
Hope this helps.
Congrats for scoring well in your exams. The thing you have to realize is ,if you can score full marks in descriptive type of questions you can definitely score good even in multiple choice questions. If we know the concept, we can answer in any format . But yeah I understand your difficulty. It is just lack of practice that is scaring you. Try to practice as many MCQs as possible after reading each chapter. The best thing you can do is practice previous years exam papers. You can find them on google or any book stores. They provide chapter wise, year wise well organised questions.
You can crack any competitive exam like JEE /NEET or others at your intermediate level if you are thorough with your NCERT textbooks and you should do repetitive revision. You can also use study materials of respective subjects for additional practice. Attempt mock tests at least once in a week to get habituated to exam kind of feeling, anxiety and you can also learn how to manage your time.
Hope this helps you!!!
All the best!!

Hello student ,
Here I will suggest you that you should go through NCERT books first off all and while going through each chapter try to make short summary and also try to make a question and solve it and then after finishing 4 ,5 chapter try to solve previous year question paper of that entrance exam which you want to give or some mcq from mtg . And at last don't forget to attempt mock test also.
Hope this will help !
Since, you are good in subjective questions you can also be good in MCQ ( objective questions), for this you have to work hard on your concepts and learn shortcut and tricks to solve problems.
As competitive exams require high level thinking and better understanding of the subjects try to solve more and more MCQ questions . Set time to complete questions paper and don't waste your time in that question which you find very diffult.
Read Ncert line by line, learn formulas and then try to solve problems without seeing the solution first it will help you a lot. This things will help you in every competitive exams.
All the best.
