I'm a student from Maharashtra and I come under open catogary but I'm proper resident of karnataka and in ka I'm in obc catogary admi?
Greetings Sadika!
Hope you're doing great.
To be eligible for OBC category in Maharashtra, the candidate caste should be available in the reservation category list of Maharashtra government. If you can find the name of your caste and you've valid caste certificate then you can avail reservation seat. Having said that it'll a tedious process if you're not a domicile of Maharashtra. A candidate who is born and is a domicile of state can easily avail they caste quota. On the other hand, if you've been born and Maharashtra and resident of some other state however your family stays in Maharashtra then one to submit the caste certificate after proper scrutiny and it should be legit.
Most of the people who aren't resident or born in Maharashtra is treated in General category i.e in the open category. Do contact the Maharashtra authority regarding the same.
Hope this will help. Do reach out in the comment section below if you've any query.
Cheers!
