    I'm a working employee, I'm having my annual salary as 7.7lpa(in hand 6lpa) and my father's income in 75k per annum (0.75lpa), I would like to apply for CAT in EWS quota. Can I apply ? #CAT

    Hi Arjun,

    Economically Weaker Section (EWS) in India is a subcategory of people belonging to the Economy Based Un-Reserved Category having an annual family income less than INR 8 lakhs and who do not belong to any category such as SC/ST/OBC.

    Since your family income(7.7 + 0.75 = 8.45) LPA is exceeding the threshold, unfortunately you are not eligible for the EWS quota.

    as I'm 21 years, I can only use my own income right ? do I need to include my father's also ?

    abhinavkl1412 Apparently, you do if you are living with your father. Also, to get reserved under EWS category there are other elements as well (like you should not have any agricultural land of 5acres and above, your residential flat should not be of 1000 sq ft, etc.)
