I'm appearing for CBSE Improvement 2020 exam in subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. Should I appear for Practical Exam also this year or the practical marks will be considered from the previous year?

Your previously obtained practical marks will be counted in 2020 exam if you have passed in your practicals then only.

Even I have come through the similar answer regarding this but I was confused after seeing this point in CBSE Notice for Private Candidates appearing in 2020 exam. The point was,
4. Candidate will have to appear for the practical examination irrespective of the fact whether he/she has passed in the previous examination. (Page 8)
Requesting a clarification on this and what they meant here

2020 CBSE compartment link will be on our website soon. In the official CBSE notice it has nowhere written that taking practicals is compulsory for compartment students. But
