Hi Rajendra, I can understand your concern and I know this can be stressful. Correcting the Date of Birth (DOB) on an SSC memo is a formal process, but it is possible if you have the right documents.
You need to follow the procedure set by the Andhra Pradesh Board of Secondary Education. First, visit the school where you completed Class 10, where they will check the School Admission Register to confirm the correct details. After that, request the school to send a “Proposal for Correction” to the District Educational Officer (DEO) or directly to the SSC Board.
You will be required to submit certain documents, including the original SSC memo with the incorrect DOB, the original birth certificate issued by the Municipality or Gram Panchayat, a notarised affidavit explaining that the mistake was clerical or parental, and a certified copy of the School Admission Register entry along with the Transfer Certificate (TC).
The DEO will verify all the records and forward them to the Board of Secondary Education. Once approved, the board will issue a corrected SSC memo.
